Congratulations are in order for ‘Orange Is The New Black’ star Danielle Brooks who revealed she is pregnant with her first child.
Danielle took to Instagram to share a photo of a positive pregnancy test, telling her followers: ‘So elated to finally share this news with you all. I’m happily pregnant!’
She also revealed on her Instagram story that she is already five months into her pregnancy, meaning the baby will be due around October or November this year.
‘When one chapter ends, another begins. Super excited to share with you my new beginning,’ she said. Her co-star Uzo Aduba responded to her amazing news with the comment: ‘Whoa whoa!!! Congratulations!’
According to Metro, Danielle plays Taystee on the Netflix show and has always kept her love life private, but debuted her beau on Instagram back in 2017. In February this year she shared a picture of them go-karting, with the message: ‘True love is when your partner agrees to wear a helmet to ride go-karts.’
The actor plays Tasha – aka Taystee – in the hit series set in Litchfield, a minimum-security prison for women. As well as her pregnancy news, it’s also a time of huge change in Danielle’s professional life too, ‘Orange Is The New Black’ is about to air its final series at the end of this month.
The seventh series of the hit Netflix show has been confirmed to be the last and is sure to be full of just as much drama as the past six series have been so far. OINTB series seven will drop on Netflix on 26 July 2019.
