President Barack Obama is expected to give a public lecture at Kenyatta University after secret service agents were spotted at the University, The Star reports. Although an official itinerary has not been released, details have emerged that President Obama will give a public address at Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani on Sunday.
According to AFP, trade and security are expected to dominate political discussions between President Uhuru and the US President at State House. Obama will open and co-host the 6th Global Entrepreneurship Summit at UN Gigiri.
Last week, SONU Chair Babu Owino caused social media stir when in a letter addressed to the US Embassy in Nairobi inviting President Obama to UoN, stated 18 students would commit suicide if Obama doesn’t give a public lecture at the University. Babu had also said in the letter that 36 ladies would urinate on a tree President Obama planted at UoN when he was Senator.
Apparently President Uhuru came to know about this letter and was later captured on video telling Babu Owino to stop writing ‘barua za upuzi’, adding that even if Obama doesn’t go to UoN, he can go to KU.
