Nigerian rapper Oludemilade Martin Alejo also known as Ycee was in Kenya last week for the second anniversary of the popular night club Memphis.
He caught up with The Sauce to play a game called ‘Need To Know’ which was inspired by his 2017 song alongside fellow Nigerian singer Seyi Shay.
He talked about the recent diss by Kenyan songstress Victoria Kimani on the #FvckYouChallenge video saying that he had head about it and that there was no truth to it as he did not steal anyone’s lyrics. He added that he thought the diss was a joke (Victoria clarified the diss was for fun) but turns out Kenyans took it very seriously.
The 26-year-old ‘Juice’ hitmaker also touched on claims that he was cozy with South African musician Sho Madjozi as far as their photos on social media are concerned and therefore something going on between them. He denied having anything more than a working relationship with the ‘Huku’ singer.
The Naija artist also revealed his intentions of working with top Kenyan rapper Octopizzo for an upcoming project. Early this year Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones released his collabo with Ycee titled ‘Gwala’. The song is off Khaligraph’s 2018 album ‘testimony 1990’.
Ycee rose to limelight after his single “Condo”, which features vocals from Patoranking, earned him two nominations at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In October 2016, he signed a record deal with Sony Music but terminated his contract with the label in February 2018.
