New releases: Willy Paul drops ‘Bure Kabisa’ as Masauti continues to raise the bar high with ‘Sokote’

The weekend is here, and if you didn’t get the memo; it’s parte afte parte. There is no party without good music, and Kenya’s artists are making sure their audiences have a selection to choose from.

Here are afew new releases to keep the party going:

1.Willy Paul – Bure Kabisa

Gospel turned secular act Willy Paul is back to his antics again. With his attention-grabbing missteps steering conversation away from his perceived talent, his latest release ‘Bure Kabisa’ has shocked fans yet again with an upsetting Instagram video. The Saldido Entertainment CEO shared a hareem of naked women, covering their nether regions with leaves and pineapples posing seductively to push his latest track ‘Bure Kabisa’. Though fans have now learnt to expect anything from Pozzee, it seems that he continues to outdo himself. He has released the audio version via YouTube on 17th October, and earned more than 40K views in just 24 hours.

2. Magix Enga ft Kansoul, Dufla, King Kaka, Exray, Odi wa Muranga – Bad Gyal

Mega producer has brought together industry heavyweights in the track ‘Bad Gyal’ but sadly even with Kansoul and King Kaka on the track; it is less than impressive. Nontheless, Magix Enga did deliver on the dancehall-gengetone beat; making for a great danceable release that will be a big club banger come party season. Sadly, the lyrics are empty and continue to perpetuate the seedy party culture that is on the up and up. Gengetone has become a cornerstone for the local club scene, but there needs to be more effort from artists in regards to the content put out.

3. Masauti – Sokote

Masauti does not disappoint. Consistently good, he remains one of the most underrated acts in the +254. His latest release ‘Sokote’ dropped on the eve of 17th October, and has already landed him on the YouTube tranding list. The track is a dance track, with the classic feel good sound Masauti is known for. With smooth lyrics, and well ochestrated visuals the video is definately exciting to watch and pleasing to listen to.

Which one of the three is your favorite?
