Popular Kenyan songstress has released a new collaborative project with fellow female musicians to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.
The track titled ‘Superwoman’ features a mix of seasoned singers and newcomers like Wahu, Avril, Brandy Maina and Pryshon.
The timely release celebrates all aspects of being a woman, the hard work, resilience, strength and highlights the fact that the fight for equality is never ending.
Wahu and Avril’s contribution to the song is amazing considering that the two have been away from the music scene for awhile. Brandy and Pryshon on the other hand are a breath of fresh air on the track being the new kids on the block on this line-up. Nadia ties off everything together with her amazing vocals and Swahili rhymes on the chorus.
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, while also raising awareness about the challenges that women face around the world.
