MKU founder feted by Management University in Namibia

Mount Kenya University founder Dr. Simon Gicharu has been awarded a honorary professorship in Business and Entrepreneurship by the International University of Management (IUM) in Windhoek, Namibia during their 12th graduation ceremony.

He was feted for his efforts toward promoting higher education in East Africa Region and his entrepreneurial activities.

The colorful event was witnessed by Namibia Prime Minister Dr. Saara Kuugongelwa, the Kenyan Ambassador to Windhoek Samuel Njenga, MKU Board Director Jane Nyutu, Director Digital Varsity Christopher Mutembei, MKU students among other guests and graduands.

MKU has expanded its high educational services beyond Kenya to Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi and Hargeisa Somaliland. Through Digital Varsity, The University is offering e-learning in more countries.
