Madam Boss Akothee brings together Kenyan artists for a charity concert

Award-winning Kenyan singer Akothee has done it again, this time she got together top Kenyan entertainers to raise funds for areas affected by drought.

The ‘Baraka’  singer through her Akothee Foundation organized a grand concert with the intention to raise funds for drought victims amid the crisis only weeks after she managed to raise millions via her social media pages and then went ahead to visit the drought-stricken people of Turkana as reported by The Sauce.

The concert went down on Sunday 14th April 2019 at Uhuru Gardens with the tickets going for Kshs 300 at the gate, Kshs 2,000 VIP and Kshs 5,000 for VVIP. Akothee who is known for her controversial antics on stage performed donned in traditional Turkana regalia alongside many other Kenya artists.

The charity concert featured Kenya’s finest rappers Khaligraph Jones, King kaka and Octopizzo on one stage. Others included Nameless, Avril, Bahati, Victoria Kimani, Arrowbwoy, Msupa S, Musa Jakadala, Tony Nyadundo, Ben Githae, Sammy Ngare, and Otieno Small.

The emcees included Jalang’o, Obinna, Mzazi Willy M. Tuva Dr. Ofweneke, Jamal Gaddafi, Teacher Wanjiku and Dr. King’ori. While on the decks was a team of top Kenyan deejays like Capital FM disc jockeys Dj Joe Mfalme, Dj Mo, Dj Mellow, Dj Sadic and Dj Pierra Makena.

The mother of five who recently celebrated her birthday has a plan to make sure that the areas experiencing drought will have long term solutions implemented to avoid recurring incidents.
