English pop star Leigh-Anne’s solo career is on to the skies, if her latest collaboration with Ayra Starr is anything to go by.
‘My Love’ is an upbeat Afrobeats-inclining record that sees the two songstresses duet their hearts out on a heavy beat – the silky voices mash exceptionally well, culminating in an overall great production.
The video is spectacular at the very least. Leigh-Anne serves a whole lot of heavy choreography backed by an army of dancers and in different set locations, making for nothing less of stunning visuals.
Announcing the collaboration a fortnight ago, Leigh Anne wrote: “This is a song I’ve been incredibly excited to share for so long. It means so much to me and informs so much about me and my career. It’s about owning who I am as an individual, wholeheartedly. This is me, take it or leave it! And I promise, none of you are ready for what’s to come.”
Leigh-Anne’s first solo release was the anthemic ‘Don’t Say Love’ two months ago.
