Kenya’s students are among the worst affected with college students home for over 3 months in 2017 alone. With a majority of the nation’s universities and colleges being public institutions, many students suffer greatly, with graduation and coursework deferred for months. Universities such as the University of Nairobi as well as others have been closed after political tensions hit fever pitch a few weeks before the repeat polls.
With lecturer’s strikes interrupting the school curriculum, many students are behind at least by a semester. With such statistics, its no wonder many students took to Twitter to share the realities of how the lecturers’ strike has affected their education.
