Larry Madowo In Toronto For Premiere Of Docu That Explores A Kenyan Theme

One thing about Larry Madowo, he will make huge moves!

The celebrated international journalist just revealed that he is in Toronto, Canada for the premiere of a new documentary dubbed ‘Free Mind’ at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). According to his Facebook post, the docu was filmed over 5 years ago and explores what happens when an American NGO gives everyone in a ‘poor’ Kenyan village cash every month.

Per the info on the official TIFF website, ‘Free Mind’ the docu “chronicles the consequences, both intended and unintended, when everyone in a Kenyan village is offered a universal basic income by a US organization.”

Taking to Instagram with red carpet pictures from the launch gala, Madowo wrote: “The world premiere of our documentary ‘Free Money’ was magical! A sold out theatre, raving reviews and excellent reception at the Toronto International Film Festival.”
