Kenyatta University Deputy V.C postpones exams for Pres. Museveni’s public lecture

Kenyatta University has made a bold move to accommodate the Commander In Chief of Uganda.

In a press statement released by the university, the institution will be hosting His Excellency, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda, for a Public Lecture on Friday, 29th March as from 2.pm at the Amphitheatre. The release read, “In the View of the foregoing, all the examinations which were scheduled to take place on Friday, 29th March 2019 between 2.00pm and 6.30 pm have been postponed to Monday, 8th April 2019.”

The memo urged all students to attend the important function, where the Ugandan president is set to give a lecture on the “Integration of Africa”.

The Uganda President Museveni who took over from President Tito Lutwa Okello, has been in power since 1986. Kaguta arrived in Kenya on Wednesday (27.03.2019) attending the Kenya-Uganda Business Forum. In his time in the Kenyan Republic, he has boarded the Standard Gauge Railway and inked a deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta that will see Uganda secure a land port in Naivasha. The new efforts between the two East African states are an attempt to strengthen economic and trade partnerships between both states.
