The Kenyan music fraternity is mourning the loss of one of their own, Michael Mugo Of Just Imagine Africa.
Mugo, the lead vocalist of the music band Just Imagine Africa was popularly Known for his hit song ‘Bangi’ released in 2020. The song went on to garner over 800,000 views on YouTube.
According to reports, the musician and actor who had relocated to his hometown of Embu due to the tough economic times, died by suicide.
In February of this year, Mugo was elated to kick off the year with his first-ever performance in Embu.
Just Imagine Africa consisted of seven other members namely, Brian Joseph, Daniel Mbithi, Wambui Ng’ang’a, Arlon Mwangi, Joel Djowa, Dominic Juma, and Marlon Aduvaga.
The band is also known for hits like, ‘Nataka’, ‘Madem wa Kenya’, ‘Touch My Soul’, ‘Clean our souls’, ‘Mumbi’, and ‘Like Heaven’.
Mugo leaves behind a son.
