Rapper Khaligraph Jones has a bone to pick with Kenyan presenters and he is willing to fly them to Nigeria to prove his point. However, Jalang’o has other plans.
The “Mazishi” hitmaker is putting Kenyan media personalities and presenters on blast for playing too much Naija music. According to a post on social media, he is planning to cater for the expenses of 10 big Kenyan media personalities for 10 days in Nigeria to asses if they will be recognized in the West African country or if they have fans at all. This was brought on by the claim that the reason why they are not successful abroad is that presenters don’t give them airplay as they do with foreign artists especially Nigerian artists whose music is widely played in Kenya.

A number of Kenyan artists chimed in on the matter including Naiboi and Vivian who also wanted to contribute to send more presenters to Nigeria.
Popular radio presenter and emcee Jalang’o weighed in on Papa Jones’ observations saying “presenters are not the ones who chose what type of music is on rotation” he went on to add that from a recent poll he conducted a majority of Kenyans request for Nigerian songs too. He took to the gram to confirm the majority of requests were “50% Bongo 40% Naija! Today on Apple Music there are only 6 Kenyan songs in top 100 Kenya!” The famed comedian challenged Kenyan musicians to get out of the comfort zone, he said artists who are still dependent on TV and radio to make it big are bound to fail.”
