Jack Rooster takes on producer role in collaborative project ‘Decimator Vol. 1’

Decimal Records officially launched the “Decimator Vol 1’’ album.

The much-awaited album was released on Tuesday 11th of December, at the Kiza Ball Room, Galana Plaza in an event hosted by record label executives Eric Musyoka and Bon’eye. This is the label’s debut collaborative album produced by Kenyan legendary producer Musyoka featuring Bon’eye, Konkodi, Brian Nadra, Jack Rooster, Khuhani and features with Naiboi, Yvonne Darcq, Avril, Shaquay, Ricco Beatz, Nannoma and P Unit.

This project is a first significant album feature for any Kenyan deejay. Speaking about the opportunity, Jack Rooster known as an afro house deejay mentioned he was eager to grow himself by taking on a producer role in the album “Decimator Vol 1. Speaking to The Sauce, Jack Rooster said he hoped the Decimator album would introduce the market to Jack Rooster the producer. The album which is a precursor for his solo EP to be released in April 2019, sees Rooster “inject a Kenyan perspective into Electronic House music.” The renowned deejay took to Instagram to share the great news of the release:

The event hosted by Sheila Kwamboka and Frasha saw top musicians and family and friends of the Decimal Records team members show up to support the mega project. Speaking at the launch event, Eric Musyoka, founder and partner at Decimal Records said, “I’m very grateful to everyone that made this masterpiece possible. The album is a celebration of different musical genres delivered by some of Kenya’s next generation of creative and multifaceted artists.” Officially re-launched in May 2017, Decimal Records has been in the game for more than 10 years now.
