It’s a double tragedy for the family of the late South African rapper HHP as son Leano left an orphan.
According to South African press, a month after his father died, rapper Jabulani “HHP” Tsambo’s son is mourning the death of another parent. Lerato Khanye, HHP’s ex-girlfriend, and baby mama died at a Johannesburg hospital following a long illness. She was a noteable personality within the South African television industry as a script writer at “Generations.” Family spokesperson Nkululeko Ncana said the family was now committed to ensuring the 13-year-old Leano’s wellbeing.
Khanye was HHP’s long-term girlfriend before they broke up in 2009, then the late rapper met customary wife Big Brother contestant Lerato Sengadi. Leano, HHP’s son is distraught at this time, dealing with the loss of both parents.
The rapper HHP died last month, and this led to a bitter fight when Sengadi hauled the family to court a day before his funeral, demanding to bury him. Khanye was at the center of the feud between HHP’s family and Sengadi.
In 2014, HHP worked with one of Kenya’s finest rappers King Kaka and femcee Wangechi on the track “Tulia tu.”
