Rupert Grint was late to the Instagram game, but when he finally joined the picture-sharing platform, he made history.
According to a report on BBC, the star who played the character of ‘Ron Weasley’ on the highly successful Harry Potter franchise. Finally joining Instagram, with a sweet first post on November 10th,” he dubbed himself ‘Grint on the Gram’, sharing his first post was a photo of himself with his baby daughter.” The ne father noted he joined the app “to introduce you all to Wednesday”, the six-month-old girl his partner Georgia Groome gave birth to in May.”
The post went viral, making it to 1M likes in just 4 hours and one minute. The quick popularity of the post will see Grint put in the Guinness World Records smashing esteemed English natural historian Sir David Attenborough.
Grint was cast as Ron at the age of 11, having previously acted only in school plays and at his local theatre group. From 2001 to 2011, he starred in all eight Harry Potter films. He has since moved on to play various smaller roles, and currently acts in the Apple TV+ show Servant.
