Harmonize performs for Tanzania’s President Magufuli at private event at State House

Harmonize is making moves as a solo act, and based on his most recent activities there is no stopping him.

Konde Boy took to Instagram to share his moments with Tanzania’s most powerful men among them President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli and former President Jakaya Kikwete. According to the long post, Rajab Abdul Kahali who goes by the stage name Harmonize was invited to the private event that took place at the presidential residence at State House Dar es Salaam. Harmonize explained he attended the event in the capacity of a representative of the talented youth within the nation.

Rajab revealed that his interractions with Tanzania’s movers and shakers was fruitful, listening closely to their advice and gaining nuggets of wisdom from them. He wrote, “Hakika ilikuwa Bahati Kwangu Kukutana Na Viongozi Wa Ngazi Za Juu Kabisa Kila Nilie kutana Nae Pale Ndani Alinipongeza Sana..!! Na Kuniambia wanajivunia Uwepo Wangu Katika Hili Taifa Tukufu Ilinipa Moyo Na Somo La Kwamba Kupitia Kipaji Chako Au Kazi Yako Hiyo Hiyo ifanye Kwabidi.”

He was pictured brushing shoulders with President Magufuli, even giving former President Kikwete a tight embrace, and later receiving words of encouragement from him, where Tanzania’s fourth national leader President Jakaya Kikwete expressed just how proud he was of the ‘Never Give Up’ crooner. He wrote, “Kabisa Nikakutana Na Swahiba former President D.R Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete Tulifurahi Sanaa Akaniambia Wewe Sasahivi Sio Msani Tena Wewe Ni Mwanamuziki Ni Wakati Wa Kuifanya Tanzania Iendele Kuwa proud Na Wewe Watanzania Woteeee Wanakupenda Na Wana kusupport Go go go…..!!!”

The high profile interactions come just a week after Harmonize was rumored to be leaving the Bongo mega team WCB Wasafi, headed by Diamond Platnumz. Harmonize name failed to feature on a flier for Wasafi Festival in Moshi which was slated for this past weekend (18.08.2018) which only served to fuel rumors. Harmonize made headlines for releasing a track dubbed ‘Magufuli’, a song in praise of the fifth Tanzanian President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli. In the track, Konde Boy dubs Magufuli as ‘rais wa wanyonge’ which translates as the President of the poor. In the ‘Kainama’ refix he sings of the leader’s economic policies, national development projects and his work to improve of Tanzania’s impoverished.

Although some praised him for the tactical move, some cautioned Rajab for the controversial track with many concerned that Harmonize might be prematurely breaking free from the Wasafi powerhouse.
