Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4 was full of thrills, but fans were less than impressed when they noticed a Starbucks cup feature on the stomach-churning episode dubbed ‘The Last of The Starks’.
As earlier reported by The Sauce, the HBO show producers received lots of backlash, after the megabrand featured on the episode. The cup which contained an unnamed hot beverage sat gingerly on the table as Daenerys and Jon Snow had an intimate discussion after the Night King was slain. Though it only appeared on screen for just a few seconds, it caught the attention of the millions of viewers who tuned in to watch the hair-raising episode.
And now it seems they have officially addressed the matter that had Twitter ranting in protest. The cup that featured at the post-battle feast at Winterfell was dismissed by production and was a clear error within the editing process.
Game of Thrones crew took their official account to make light of the moment.
News from Winterfell.
The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. #Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea. pic.twitter.com/ypowxGgQRl

The tweet made in jest was well received with fans joining in the fun. Here are some of the best reactions to Game of Throne’s Starbucks debacle.
Many lauded the social media manager for his witty response.
I salute you, HBO social media guy. You did good. pic.twitter.com/N4NS4NXdZO

While others commented on the fact that Starbucks must have been a necessity for the Dragon Queen in a cold and grim Winterfell.
A Starbucks must always be in Winterfell.

But what names would they put on her Starbucks cup?

Nonetheless, it’s a wonder why Starbucks has not been quick to jump on the bandwagon for a quick marketing opportunity, creating a line of drinks for Game of Thrones fans to enjoy. Nonetheless, Starbucks has responded, and the response is equally as witty.
TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink.
