Former news presenter Lizz Ntonjira gets nominated for the 2018 Africa Youth Awards.
Former NTV news anchor and business reporter Elizabeth ‘Lizz’ Ntonjira Mutuma has been nominated as a finalist for the 2018 Africa Youth Awards in the Leader of the year 2018 category.
The mother of one who described herself as speechless about the news posted about her nomination saying that God is truly amazing for the nomination because she has had a challenging last quarter of the year. She also asked her thousands of followers to vote for her to bring this award home. She took to Twitter to express her joy over the nomination writing, “Wow! Look at God! I’m so humbled…only Kenyan nominated in the leader of the year category Tweeps, let’s bring this home. Kindly vote for me on http://www.africayouthawards.org/vote ..I’m speechless @AwardsAfrica …a million thanks.”
Lizz who left NTV about four years ago for IBM has flourished in her new capacities including being awarded the best International Women in Tech award earlier this year in the prestigious Women4Africa Awards. She is a recipient of former US President Barack Obama’s Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in 2015. Ntonjira was also recognized as the Best TV reporter on Gender and Development by the United Nations Population Awards of 2012.
