Mwalimu Rachel has finally announced that she has parted ways with renowned Kenyan gengetone group Sailors.
In a post on her Twitter handle, she expressed pleasure in working with, and nurturing Sailors under MRX Media Ltd to be the popular group they have become today.
In the post, she announced that MRX Media limited would no longer represent Sailors.

“New Beginnings, under our management as MRX Media Ltd we have overseen the growth of sailors 254 from unknown to the present day popularity that they have garnered. We are pleased to have played a major role in building the brand, and we are proud of our role in amplifying the voice of the Kenyan youth.”
“As we expand, Sailors will no longer be represented by us. We are excited for the future and cannot wait to introduce fresh, brilliant talent to the world moving forward,” she tweeted.

Previously, Mwalimu Rachel had demanded 1.5million Kenyan shillings from Sailors new management, before releasing passwords to their social media accounts for what she had termed as return on investment.
According to a report on Mdundo, Mwalimu Rachael pointed out anyone interested in booking Sailors for a gig should consult their new management.
“…Proud of what my team at @MRXtotheWorld and I were able to achieve. We shall no longer be taking any bookings on behalf of Sailors nor represent them. #SailOn we wish them well.”
Meanwhile, Sailors announced that they would not be performing at the Nai Fest slated for this weekend 7th November at the Ngong Racecourse. They pointed out that they did not agree on payment terms with event organizers forcing them to back out from the event.
