Jabidii is serving his fans right this beautiful Friday. He has finally released his highly anticipated video for the single ‘Flexible’, days after a major collaboration dropped.
‘Flexible’ is Jabidii speaking on the goodness of God inspired by David’s story of how he danced for the Lord.
The audio is very calm and chill with a dancehall beat to back it. Jabidii is keen to layer the beat with some chilled vocals which gives the whole single a very feel good emotive vibe. The audio incorporates some trumpets and vocal echoes to build on the instrumentation.
It has been a long time coming until the release of this single with different people posting their dance videos online. The video lives up to these expectations as it can definitely be classified as a dance video. Jabidii is dancing through the video and he has a full crew to present the choreography. Even with the visuals, Jabidii and the crew are cutting up with some great moves.

‘Murata/Friend’ talks about the friend that is Jesus. Jabidii and Phyllis Mbuthia penned down a very reflective single where they are grateful and in awe of what they have been through with God always coming through.
Jabidii and Phyllis Mbuthia have very different styles and target audiences; Jabidii is more reggae/dancehall to the younger masses while Phyllis is more calm with her music for the Kikuyu community probably older generation. They have however put together a song that speaks to both with a very minimalistic beat for it and mixing Kikuyu, English, Swahili and sheng to make it accessible to everyone who might listen to it.
