B Club resident disc jockey DJ Evolve is scared for his life and his future.
The mixmaster whose real name is Felix Orinda is still recuperating at the Nairobi Hospital. The disc jockey was shot about two weeks ago at B Club by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
In a probation report filed at a Milimani court by his lawyer before Chief magistrate Francis Andayi on Monday, DJ Evolve says he does not want to talk about the issue.
He stated that he was concerned about his security and was traumatised about the incident. “I am in pain, I am tired and traumatized. I don’t want to talk and I cannot fathom anything. I have not slept for days because I am scared for my life and future.”
His family has opposed the release of Owino on bail saying they are concerned about their security because the accused is an influential person within the community and he might use that to escape justice.
According to sources, DJ Evolve’s condition is improving day by day following multiple surgeries to remove bullets lodged in his neck. According to reports, Evolve is paralysed from the neck down and that his blood tests indicated that he had alcohol, bhang and heroin in his system.
Babu Owino was yesterday 27.01.2020 released on a 10 million cash bail after his anticipated bail hearing at Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi. The court said the cash bail which will be paid in 4 instalments will be used to settle the medical bill of DJ Evolve.
