Nigerian singer Davido has achieved yet another milestone, he is now the most followed African artist on Twitter.
Davido who joined the social media platform in September 2010, has amassed 12 million followers.
The hitmaker is the second most followed African star, after Egyptian born footballer Mo Salah who plays for Premier League club Liverpool. Salah has 17.1 million followers on Twitter.
The-29-year-old music star who is famed for hits like ‘Fall’, ‘If’, ‘Risky’, ‘Gobe’, ‘Skelewu’ just to name a few has 24.7 million followers on Instagram.
Fellow Nigerian stars Burna Boy and Wizkid have garnered 7.1 million followers and 10.4 million followers on Twitter respectively.
Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol have 1 million followers, Bongo superstar Diamond Platnumz has 1.2 million followers and South African comedian Trevor Noah has 11.8 million followers on the microblogging platform.
