Davido And Chioma Mourning The Loss Of Their Three-Year-Old Son

Nigerian music star Davido and Chioma’s three-year-old son Ifeanyi has reportedly died.

According to reports widely published in major news outlets, Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at his residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Ifeanyi who was born in 2019 was said to have been underwater for awhile before being spotted and rushed to a hospital, he was, however, confirmed dead on arrival.

The horrific incident happened on Monday night, a few days after his third birthday (October 20).

The family is yet to release a statement about the incident but several Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to offer their condolences.

In 2018, fellow Afrobeats star D’banj lost his son under similar circumstances. Daniel Oyebanjo III, who had just turned one, reportedly died in a swimming pool at the singer’s Lagos home.

D’banj was not in the country when the incident occurred. He was attending the BET awards in Los Angeles.
