Kenyan TikTok star Kelvin Kinuthia is the latest personality to seek the help of a medical professional to cut weight.
The social media influencer announced to thousands of his followers that he had undergone the gastric balloon procedure to help his lose some weight.
“Its D for done🙏🏽 THANK YOU LORD,” Kinuthia wrote following the procedure.
Kinuthia who is known as a cross-dressing content creator did not shy away from documenting the procedure which is said to cost up to KES 500,000. The video has garnered close to 40,000 views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.
According to several medical websites, the gastric balloon placement procedure involves placing a saline-filled silicone balloon in your stomach. This helps you lose weight by limiting how much you can eat and making you feel fuller faster.
The procedure is becoming quite popular here in Kenya with notable personalities like Kate Actress and Jackie Matubia undergoing the procedure in recent months.
