Barely four months after Larry Madowo’s exit from the Trend, co-host, Ciru Muriuki, left the show after a three-year stay on the weekly Friday night show. Making her announcement online, Muriuki shared her support for the show and the incoming show host.
Please keep supporting #theTrend. The team is amazing, and I know the new host will kill it! #TTTT https://t.co/HqxXhUckxI

‘I have been co-hosting this show for the last three years and everyone will appreciate the work I’ve done,’ she said, after revealing her departure. With Capital FM’s Anita Nderu, comedian Butita and Teen Republik’ host, Tracy Wanjiru holding down the fort hosting the show, our expectation is that the show will continue to exist. However, it seems that Muriuki’s comments have many speculating that Capital FM’s Amina Abdi could be the new host.
Yeah @Amina_Kenya is cool….
