Kenya’s premiere HipHop Awards, Unkut, nominations are here with some familiar names and new kids on the block making the list this year.
This year’s awards are slated for December 13, at Expressway Lounge – Mombasa Road. The flyer as seen by The Sauce cals for a ‘Formal with a touch of gold’ dress code. Legendary HipHop group Kalamashaka are set to bestowed on with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony while Buruklyn Boyz will receive an honorary award.
Capital FM’s jockey DJ Slick is one of this year’s nominees. His Capital FM show ‘The Cypher’ is up for the Best Radio HipHop Radio Show as well as DJ of the Year – two awards he scooped in 2021 when the awards were last held.
