Brian Chira has been granted release on a Ksh 50,000 bail, after being charged with harassment, for insulting TikToker Azziad, calling her a prostitute who sleeps around with everybody.
Content creator Brian Chira found himself in hot water as he was arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts to answer to serious allegations of defamation against social media sensation Azziad.Â
The arrest, which took place on Thursday (27.07.2023), stemmed from Chira’s involvement in making defamatory statements and sharing Azziad’s contact information during a TikTok live session. This reckless action led to an influx of insulting calls and messages directed at Azziad, prompting legal action and public outrage.Â
After denying the charges before Kibera Principal Magistrate Renee Kitagwa, Chira was released on a Ksh 50, 000 cash bail.
