Beyoncé has reportedly granted Vice President Kamala Harris permission to use her song “Freedom” during her presidential campaign.
According to CNN, Harris’s team secured approval from the singer just hours before she made her entrance at campaign headquarters on Monday.
While Beyoncé has not officially endorsed anyone since Joe Biden’s withdrawal over the weekend, she did support the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020.
“Freedom,” is a track from Beyoncé’s highly acclaimed 2016 album “Lemonade” featuring Kendrick Lamar. The song has garnered over 13 million views on YouTube since it’s release.
Adding to the support, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, shared a photo with Harris on Instagram Monday, accompanied by a caption endorsing her candidacy: “Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go.”
