Award-winning Kenyan gospel musician Bahati has made history he attained 2 Million followers on Instagram.
The milestone has made Bahati the most followed gospel musician on Instagram on the continent. In addition, he has become the most-followed solo artist in the country.
An elated Bahati could not hide his joy, taking to Instagram to celebrate the achievement. He wrote, “2 Million Instagram followers that makes @BahatiKenya the ‘Most Followed Solo Artist’ in Kenya and the ‘Most Followed Gospel Artist in Africa’” he posted.
Bahati has a catalogue of tracks that have racked up millions of views on YouTube. Hugely popular, the young man turned music mogul has risen to be touted as Eastland’s Most Beloved is proud that his story is one of rags to riches.
As reported by Mdundo, Bahati’s following has earned him several brand deals and sponsorships that include; a partnership with noodles manufacturer Indomie, music platform Boomplay as well as Bonfire Adventures.

Transcending the music industry, Bahati has a reality show dubbed ‘Being Bahati’ that features him, his wife Diana Marua, and family. The show has great viewership and is credited with making Bahati more popular across the country as well as earning him a larger East African audience. The couple has also landed a highly coveted cover on the local publication Parent’s Magazine.
Over the past few weeks, Bahati has been the subject of debate after he released several songs featuring artistes in the secular music industry, from the gengetone genre, as reported on The Sauce. However, Bahati maintains he is a gospel act even despite public opinion.
