New York rapper and singer Lil Tjay was shot in New Jersey.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday in what police said was an attempted armed robbery.
According to police, Tjay and 22-year-old Antoine Boyd were both shot at a local shopping plaza called 14 The Promenade.
According to TMZ, the ‘Moodswings’ hitmaker Tjay underwent emergency surgery, but the rapper still remains unconscious in the hospital and apart from moving his legs, he’s made no other bodily movements.
Mohamed Konate, 27, was arrested by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the New York City Police Department. He was charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and weapons-related offenses.
