All hail the queen! Xtatic is back delivering soulful bars in ‘Soxial Xperiment’

With a past shrouded in mystery and quite the reputation for her talent, Xtatic is definitely deserving of her legendary status in the local music scene.

And now, she is back to remind with a new collaboration ‘Composure’ featuring Fancy Fingers from Sauti Sol who not only graced the track with the rythm but also mixed and mastered the release.

‘Composure’ is about a toxic relationship, and Xtactic so eloquently expresses some relatable truths, as she takes the audience through the complex ups and downs of a conflicted individual in an apparent toxic relationship.

The soulful track samples 2 Pac’s ‘I Ain’t Mad At Cha’. According to Mdundo, Fancy Fingers takes the rhythm off the beat and builds up the skeleton with an electric and bass guitar, making the layering minimalistic setting the mood for the touching release.

Once a Sony Music signee, Xtactic has remained relatively quiet, retreating from the limelight for years. And now, it seems that the rap queen is determined to make 2020 her year with a series of releases from the 10-track ‘Soxial Xperiment’ project. The track features collaborations with equally talented acts including So Generation star Bensoul, Xenia Manasseh, and even a treat for real hip hop heads a Khali Kartel 2 freestyle. She worked with a great team to see through her vision including her partner as MushkingFX handled production for the majority of the tracks.

Xtactic’s mixtapes is raw, comprehensive and timely. In an era when many are in reflection, these tracks are a good listen.

Xtatic showcases her songwriting skills, combined with amazing flow, making the whole ‘Soxial Experient’ project a well-executed showpiece. She keeps it authentic to her persona, and the subject matter throughout her music is among the many reasons Xtactic is always going to be a legend.
