Tanzanian singer Alikiba has announced his plans to release an album early next year after almost 12 years.
Alikiba made the revelation of Monday during an interview while promoting his new ‘Nakupenda’ track featuring South Africa’s DJ Sbu.
Kiba stated that fans should expect the album before June next year as he is currently laying the release strategies. The ‘Aje’ singer pointed out that the project is already done awaiting the release on an agreed date by his management.
‘Next album next year…lakini album inahitaji maandalizi. Lakini mimi niko tayari mda wowote…lakini nakuhakikishia haipiti mwezi wa sita,” said Alikiba. He added that all the songs have been recorded awaiting mastering before releasing the final package.
It is worth mentioning that Alikiba’s career has been largely a success with reliance on single music release only.
Alikiba dropped his debut album dubbed ‘Cinderella’ back in 2007 when he joined the music industry.
He now joins the growing list of bongo musicians who are scheduled to drop new projects next year. Already, Mbosso has announced that his album will be released next year on Valentine’s Day after being postponed from October this year.
