5 Comeback acts to look out for in 2019

2019 is set to be a great year for music.

With so many 1990s artists making a comeback to the stage, there are many important musicians bringing back old chart-toppers and performing them live across the globe. Here are a few comeback acts set to liven up the music scene:

1.Xscape

This 90s group is known for various hits including “Understanding” and “Who Can I Run To” among others made a comeback in 2018. Touring across the United States, Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, LaTocha Scott, Tamika Scott, and Tamera Coggins-Wynn have made quite the impression with old fans, even gaining new fans. Releasing a new track dubbed “Memory Lane” in May 2018, they are scheduled to continue making new music in 2019.

2.Spice Girls

Formed in 1994, this English pop group went worldwide at the peak of their career. Now more than 2 decades later the group known for hits such as “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” are set to re-introduce themselves to a new audience. Comprised of  Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, the Spice Girls are eager to get back onstage. Victoria Beckham will not be joining them, but the girls are determined to make the most of the experience.

3.BackStreet Boys

The Backstreet Boys are back! AJ McLean; Howie Dorough; Nick Carter; Kevin Richardson; Brian Littrel began touring in 2018 and even released new music in November 2018. Set to perform in Las Vegas in February and later tour Europe, the foursome is set to make new memories with fans on the road, performing some of their hits including “As Long As You Love Me” and more.

4. Bell Biv DeVoe

Bell Biv DeVoe, also known as BBD has made a comeback on epic proportions. The trio, an offshoot of New Edition amassed a legion of fans in its hay day. Known for great lyrics and smooth melodies, the group is set to go back on tour as soon as January 19th, 2019. Known for tracks such as “Poison,” the threesome has released a track in 2018 dubbed “I’m Betta” which did not do as well as their previous releases. Nonetheless, they are set for great success on tour.

5. Janet Jackson

Powerhouse solo act Janet Jackson had a great 2018 and is set for an even greater 2019. The artist is best known as part of The Jacksons variety show which later lead to her grand solo career. At pop icon status, Janet may not have needed to make a comeback, but the mother of one released a track “Made For Now” and began her “Stage of the World” tour in 2018 which is set to continue into the new year.
