Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14th. It is the celebration of love and affection and lovebirds tend to exchange gifts and spend time together to commemorate the day.

Plan B
This is newly released Kenyan movie that is starring Sarah ‘Tanya’ Hassan, Catherine ‘Celina’ Kamau Karanja, Daniel Etim Effiong and Lenana Kariba. As reported by The Sauce, the movie showed last night on NTV but the movie is now available to the public on YouTube today (14.2.2019) as from midday.
The movie which is co-produced by Sarah Hassan’s production house Alfajiri productions is the story of Lisa Waweru (Sarah Hassan) who finds out that she is pregnant after a one night stand with an unknown mysterious man. She teams up with her best friend Joyce (Catherine Kamau) to come up with a plan to make sure he pays for the baby’s upkeep. Despite her busy schedule famed actress Hassan is expecting her first child with husband Martin Dale, with lots of success to follow with the release of the movie Plan B.
Disconnect
Disconnect is a romantic comedy film released last year directed by David ‘Tosh’ Gitonga and Michael Jones. The film stars Kenyan actress Brenda Wairimu and actor Nick Mutuma who lead a diverse cast which explores the dating scene in Nairobi.
The film revolves around a secret romantic attraction between two best friends, Celine (played by Brenda Wairimu) and Josh (Nick Mutuma), and their closest friends in the Kenyan capital. Celine has difficulty getting into the right kind of relationship, and often relies on the advice and emotional support of her friends who include TK (Catherine Kamau-Karanja) the crazy one, Judy (Patricia Kihoro) the prayer warrior, Robin (Pierra Makena) Celine’s sister and Preeti (Aseem Sharma) her co-worker and the fun one. Celine’s best friend is Josh, played by Nick Mutuma, who also has his group of guy friends who help him navigate the urban relationship jungle. The star-studded cast is rounded off by Otis played by Pascal Tokodi and Jennings played by the talented Arthur Sanya.
World Tofauti
World Tofauti (different worlds) is a 2017 Kenyan romantic film directed by Kang’ethe Mungai. The film stars Avril Nyambura and Innocent Njuguna and features Maureen Njau in a supporting role. It tells the love story of Hinga and Nina who are from different backgrounds but fortuitously meet and fall in love. The movie explores the challenges of dating from different social classes.
Nina (played by Avril Nyambura) is a woman born and raised in the slums of Nairobi. She meets Hinga (played by Innocent Mungai), a man from a decent background with a good job, who is stranded with a flat tire near the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and together with her gang, they rob him of all his valuables. In a twist of fate, the two eventually fall in love, despite the fact that Hinga is engaged to Ciru (Maureen Njau), a demanding and controlling woman of his same societal background. Hinga eventually helps Nina to track down his valuables as well as evade the authorities
