Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade has released her third EP titled ‘African Baddie’.
The multi-award-winning musician with international acclaim has blessed her fans with the 10 track project which boasts of collaborations with top music stars like queen of Dancehall, Spice, Phyno, Zlatan, and British-Nigerian singer, Lemar.

Yemi effortlessly transitions between new genres while guiding listeners through various moods; her most recent body of work includes elements of Dancehall, Highlife, and Afrobeats.
Spice is featured on ‘Bubble it’, which has themes of romance, love, some slick talking, and sexual references. The dancehall rhythm and vibe make it a great listen. ‘Baddie’, brings out the dancehall mood is beautiful and artistically done. Yemi sings about her fame, street cred, impact, and “positive vibes” in her songs.
‘Pounds and Dollars’, which features Phyno and has a typical Afro-pop beat arrangement, is the first track on the album’s ten tracks. The Afrobeat track ‘Overload’ that follows is groovy and danceable. Yemi sings about her ‘Baby’ and her affection for him in her song. As she also sings some sections in French, she implores her lover to help make the loving last.
Zlatan enters on ‘Ikebe’, The song’s Amapiano mood is funky and danceable. As the duo enjoys themselves while expressing their opinions, themes like lust, love, relationships, and desire.
