Remember when you once left a WhatsApp group and everyone caught wind of it? Pretty awkward, no?
Well, if the latest development is anything to go by, occasions like that are about to be a thing of the past. WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will ensure quite the discreet exit of a group, with only the group admins being the only recipients of a notification that you have left and hit the freeway.
As per WABeta Info, the new feature is currently being tested and once approved, WhatsApp users will have it as a future update on their apps in both Android and iOS in very likely a couple of months, soon as a stable update rolls out.
The instant messaging app has illustrated how the hushed exit prompt will look like to users with a sample screenshot as seen below.

In the same breath, WhatsApp is reportedly also working on adding rich link previews to status updates. The previews will come in handy by helping viewers have a glimpse of the website. The new previews are detailed in contrast to the current semi-previews seen on the app. The rich link previews are hitherto available in WhatsApp beta for iOS version as depicted in the below screenshot.
