Britain’s most expensive brew costs $200 per gram., approximately 20,000Ksh a gram.

A cup of Golden Tips – which is available from luxury Rubens Hotel near Buckingham Palace – costs four times as much as actual gold, and the company behind the special beverage described brewing it as “an art form”.
Special leaves – grown in Sri Lanka and dried in velvet cloth – are carefully weighed by waiters before getting steeped in hot mineral water, and the cuppa ends up with a rich golden hue.
P.M. David Silva & Sons’ Dananjaya Silva said: “It’s really an art form. It’s nature creating the flavor.”
