Weird World: Men Are Three Times More Likely To Be Thinking About Sex Than Women

Men are three times more likely than women to have sex on the mind.

A study has revealed that one in eight chaps fear they could be addicts compared to just one in 25 females while men were more likely to be concerned about the amount of pornography they watched.

Over 2,800 people in the US were asked if they thought their sexual behaviour was addictive or out of control in the past six months and between eight and 13 per cent of men admitted that it was, with the figures dropping to just three to four per cent for women.

Professor Joshua Grubbs, a researcher at the University of New Mexico, explained that men were more likely to be worried that they are overdoing it regarding sex and thinks that something that alarms so many should be subject to more attention.

He said: “Concerns about sexual addiction and compulsivity are common enough in the general population to warrant attention from mental health research.”
