Days are drawing closer to one of the most anticipated concerts of the year – We Love RnB. American RnB sensations Bobby Valentino and Horace Brown are set to headline the soirée.
Sanaipei Tande, Nameless and Okelo Max came together at a recently held media launch, giving concertgoers a peek of what to expect at the upcoming concert.
Speaking to The Sauce, Sanaipei Tande said: “Whatever job I get, whatever platform I’m on, I see to it that I give my best. I can assure my fans of my best performance yet.”
On the prevailing state of RnB, the hitmaker adds: “RnB today does not hit the way it used to in its heyday. There’s not one RnB artist of the current generation that I would say I necessarily gravitate towards. Anytime I want to listen to RnB, I find myself walking down memory lane to nostalgic records from the 90s primarily.”
She further reckons that she intends to incorporate elements of musicians from the prime RnB era. On a global scale, there ought to be emphasis on bringing back classic RnB singers, which I’m glad We Love RnB have taken a stride in already.
The We Love RnB concert is slated for May 25 at The Nairobi Showground – The Dome.
