Former United States President Barack Obama never misses with his playlist!
The certified music lover shared the myriad songs he has been listening this summer with his annual summer playlist, which he revealed on Instagram on Monday.
The playlist is a collection of 44 songs which cut across different genres and nationalities. several African stars have earned a spot on the playlist including Nigerian singer Tems with Love me JeJe, Rema with Yayo and South Africa’s Tyla with Water ft Jamaica’s Skillibeng and Gunna.
‘With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix,” Obama wrote. “I hope you find something new to listen to!”
Electropop singer Charli XCX, whose latest album ‘Brat’ spearheaded the “brat summer” trend on social media, made the cut with her song ‘365’.Country breakout star Shaboozey ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy), Beyonce’s ‘Texas Hold ‘Em, Meghan Thee Stallion, Bob Marley, Bad Bunny, 2Pac, H.E.R, Common, Jill Scott and The Rolling Stones also earned spots.
Along with his summer playlist, Obama also shared his favorite books for the season.
