Nigerian Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Tems ate and left no crumbs at the 2023 Met Gala.
The Grammy award-winning artists represented for Nigeria and the continent while attending the Fashion’s Biggest Night for the very first time alongside other global stars dressed to the nines.
Tems wore a custom Robert Wun gown. The flowing gown was complemented with a corset-like top and elbow-length gloves.
The stylish Burna Boy did not disappoint with a custom-made Burberry kingly blue and black outfit, which also had a regal touch.
The Met Gala, whose 2023 edition took place on Monday, May 1st, 2022, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
This year’s theme paying homage to one of fashion’s greatest designers, Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019, the exhibition titled “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” features around 150 original pieces from his storied career, alongside their respective original sketches.
