Tedd Josiah quits job to make his late wife’s entrepreneurial dreams a reality

Veteran music producer Tedd Josiah is quitting his job to pursue the dreams of his late wife Regina Katar.

The 46-year-old who lost his wife and the mother to his daughter Wendo a year ago, has decided to quit his job to make his late wife’s fashion business a reality. According to him in an Instagram post, his soul spoke loudly, he couldn’t let the thoughts of the new venture go and he knew he had to give up his job. In the post, Tedd also reveals that three days before Regina passed on, she announced she was going back into her fashion business and that she was a great designer who actually made the items she designed like bags.

Thus the birth of Jokajok, an African luxury leather bag line that Tedd Josiah says is not a side hustle but a means of income to feed his baby and create jobs for able Kenyans.

Tedd recently revealed that he does not plan to date or remarry after the untimely death of Regina who passed away when their daughter was only three months ago. He went on to explain that he would remarry because his main focus is his daughter bearing in mind that bringing someone new into his life will destabilize her and that he doesn’t need anyone.

Tedd Josiah started out as a musician briefly with the group Ebony Affair before forming a new group, Hart in 1993. The group was disbanded in 1995 and Josiah joined Sync Sound Studios as a producer.

He is credited for producing compilation albums called ‘Kenyan, The First Chapter’ and ‘Kenyan, The Second Chapter’. The two albums featured Kalamashaka, Gidi GidiMaji Maji, Necessary Noize, Jimmy Gathu, Maina Kageni, and Pete Odera. He discovered Reggae/Dancehall star Wyre and was also the founder of Kisima Awards, the premier annual musical awards in Kenya.
