Jamaican-American Reggae singer Tarrus is the headliner of the 30th edition of the WRC Koroga Festival.
The hitmaker is inarguably one of the best performers to ever set foot on Kenyan soil if his last performance in the country in 2018 is anything to go by.
Speaking to the media during the press conference, he promised an unforgettable performance of his long music catalog backed up by the Black Soil band as well as the legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser.
Tarrus who said that his favorite international music star is Chris Brown, also revealed that he has just completed his new album which is a follow-up to his 2020 album ‘Healing’ which features the hit song ‘Lighter’ with Shenseea.
Speaking to The Sauce, the 43-year-old award winning musician went down memory lane to the times when he used to hang out with his late dad, the legendary Jimmy Riley in studio as a young boy saying that those were his earliest memories of enjoying music. Those moments influenced the path to his music career that started in the mid 2000s.
Mr Singy Singy as he is populary referred to, is known to sing and praise women with hits like ‘She’s Royal’ and ‘Just the way you are’ just to mention a few. When asked about the impact the women in his life have had on him, Tarrus went on to hail his mother and other women in his life for being his pillar and an inspiration.
Tarrus will take to the stage today, Sunday (26.06.2022) at The Gardens, Moi South Lake Road, Naivasha, infront of hundreds of fans as the four-day WRC Koroga Festival comes to a close.
