Social Media Lights Up As Kenyans Turn Up To Vote

Photos of inked fingers dominated social media as Kenyans rallied each other to vote in the general elections on Tuesday (09.08.2022).

Kenyans were sharing their images on Instagram and other social networks to confirm they had exercised their democratic right.

Others posted videos of them voting as others showed images of them on the queue.

Celebrities such as Jalang’o, Suzzana Owiyo, Milly wa Jesus, Diana Bahati, Njugush, Crazy Kennar, Esther Kazungu and more turned up to vote and subsequently posted images on their social media platforms.

Twitter users were not left behind as they also posted photos of their inked fingers and challenged users to vote and post their photos.

Tiktok users also participated in this challenge sharing short video clips and photos of their inked nails.

That was the trend in many other social groups and social media channels.
