Showmax Hosts Star-Studded Premiere For New Reality Show The Mommy Club NBO

Showmax recently hosted an exclusive pre-screening of its latest original reality series, The Mommy Club NBO, at the Aspire Centre in Westlands, Nairobi.

The star-studded event brought together cast members, the production team, media professionals, and key industry stakeholders to celebrate the much-anticipated launch of the fifth instalment in the beloved franchise.

Guests were treated to a private viewing of the first episode, offering an intimate look into the lives of five bold and inspiring Kenyan mothers—Jackie Matubia, DJ Pierra Makena, Carey Priscilla, Lynne Njihia, and Ofentse Tsipa. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Nairobi, the show follows their journeys as they balance motherhood, career ambitions, and personal growth while navigating the complexities of modern life.

The evening also featured an engaging panel discussion with the cast and executive producer Eugene Mbugua. The conversation explored key themes of the show including parenting in today’s fast-paced world, the evolution of personal identity, and the power of authentic African storytelling in reality TV.

“We set out to create a platform that allows these incredible women to tell their stories with honesty and depth,” said Mbugua. “The Mommy Club NBO is a celebration of their resilience and strength, and we hope it inspires viewers to embrace their own journeys through the highs and lows of motherhood.”
