Ferré Gola, the celebrated Congolese crooner and revered Ambassador for Rhumba, is proud to announce the release of his latest single, “Amour Illusoire.” Sung majorly in French, this heartfelt ballad elegantly marries his extraordinary vocal artistry with the soulful resonance of the angelic piano whilst pairing it with the timeless elegance of Rhumba.

“Amour Illusoire”—translated as “Illusory Love”— is a testament to Gola’s versatility and enduring artistry, fusing classic Rhumba rhythms with contemporary French musicality. It positions him not just as a Congolese icon but as a leading global voice for African music and culture. Speaking about the new release, Ferré Gola shares:
“Love can be beautiful, but it can also be a mirage. Through ‘Amour Illusoire,’ I wanted to capture that delicate balance between the dreams we chase and the realities we sometimes refuse to see.”

The single follows the announcement of Ferré Gola’s highly anticipated Padre’s Major concert, set for June 7th, 2025 at the ING Arena in Brussels. It builds on the momentum of his two sold-out shows at the Adidas Arena in Paris in April 2024, as well as standout performances at the Geneva Arena in Switzerland on June 15, 2024, and the Couleur Café Festival in Brussels during the summer of 2024.

Sony Music East Africa recognized Ferré Gola’s extraordinary impact and timeless artistry by signing him to a prestigious catalogue deal, a testament to his hard work, resilience, and musical excellence over the years. Speaking on the partnership, Christine ‘Seven’ Mosha, who leads marketing and artist development for Sony Music East Africa, said:
Ferré Gola is a living legend whose music has transcended borders and generations. We are honoured to partner with him to preserve and promote his rich catalogue, and to introduce his iconic sound to even more fans around the world.”

This landmark deal not only celebrates Ferré Gola’s illustrious career but also signals a powerful new chapter in his global journey, bringing the soul of Congolese Rhumba to an even broader international stage.
