The family of popular TV producer and music video director King “Mushking” Muriuki is asking for contributions to offset his medical bill of about kshs 3 million at the Mater Hospital after he was diagnosed with a rare nerve disease.
Gloria Mecheo alias Xtatic who has a son with the ailing video director today (21.03.19) posted that her hubby was on the road to recovery and that they needed help in raising money for the outstanding bill. She thanked everyone who had sent in their well wishes. She hopes that Mushking would soon be released from the hospital in order for him to recuperate from home.

According to the popular Kenyan rapper Xtatic, Mushking has been admitted in hospital for the past few weeks. In her social media posts, she revealed that he was diagnosed with Miller Fisher Syndrome, a rare nerve disease characterized by abnormal muscle coordination, paralysis of the eye muscles, and absence of the tendon reflexes. She also added that he has lost his eyesight as well as mobility, therefore, cannot move around on his own.
She continued to say that it all started with King experiencing blurry vision and a loss of balance which progressed to difficulty in breathing, slurred speech, and feeling like his face was numb.
“So currently, he is still in the hospital, closely being monitored, especially because of the difficulty in breathing at times. And for that texting and calling, he can’t read the texts because he still can’t see. But can hear. And also he can’t move without assistance. And he is in HDU and they’ve not allowed any phones, hence can’t pick any calls as of the moment. And probably won’t be available for some time,” she posted.
Mushking is best known for his work on the ‘XYZ’ show as an animation director and producer at Buni TV Media. In music, his first ever music video was ‘Exponential Potential’ by Juliani. He has also directed videos for Xtatic, Gilad, Stella Mwangi, and others.
