Rapper, actor and producer 50 Cent to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020

50 Cent has officially made it into the big leagues.

Curtis Jackson has been named as one of the top celebrities to receive recognition next year on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ever-evolving and highly talented New Yorker hustled his way to the top and will have his name on a star on Tinsel Town’s most iconic boulevard.

Entertainment Tonight reported, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Committee announced on Thursday (20.06.2019) the full list of actors, musicians, and performers who will get a Walk of Fame star in 2020, and 50 was named within the prestigious list. According to his social media account, Jackson is hyped-up over the news. He captioned the post, ” man this is some cool shit, ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️😟Mom, I think I made it. LOL”

The rapper, actor, and producer first made his entry into the entertainment industry as a rapper. In 2000, his track ‘How To Rob,’ gave him clout, but it seemed he’s music raffled a few feathers which earned him some enemies. A shooter made an attempt on his life in 2000, firing a 9mm handgun at 50 Cent as he sat in a friend’s car outside his grandmother’s house in Queens.

He cheated death, surviving 9 shots to his body. Since the tragic incident, he has made the most of his life; with gaining a noteworthy career with several distinguished accomplishments. He later signed with Aftermath Records and worked closely with the likes of Dr. Dre and Eminem, which propelled his career to greater heights with notable releases including ‘Wanksta’ and many more. In 2003, he created his own label G.Unit Records thanks to Interscope and went on to sing Llyod Banks, Tony Yayo, and Yung Buck as part of G.Unit.

Since the end of G.Unit, Curtis Jackson has continued to evolve not only rapping but also as a storyteller, an actor, and show producer.  He has been involved in big productions including the hugely popular drama ‘Power’ which debuted in 2014, and ‘The Oath’ which began in 2018. Naij reports, “after attaining big fame in the music industry, Jackson started a very successful business career as an investor. He is actively involved in music and talent management, TV projects, recording and production of films, video games, book publishing, health drinks, and headphones. The musician has investment contracts in such industries as financial market investments, real estate, mining, alcohol drinks, boxing promotion, fragrances, electronics, and fashion.”

Other celebrities to also receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame include recording artist Alicia Keys, comedian Dave Chappelle, ‘This is Us’ star Milo Ventimiglia as well as talk show host Wendy Williams.
