World Marathon record holder, Eliud Kipchoge just pushed the limits and ran a marathon under two hours.
The father of three ran the marathon in a record time of 1:59:40 making him the greatest marathoner of all time.
The world was watching this Saturday morning (12.10.19) as this Kenyan marathoner took on the challenge of doing what has not been done ever before, to race against time not athletes in the famed INEOS 1:59 challenge in Vienna, Austria.
The 34 year old ran this history making race under the slogan ‘No Human Is Limited’ as well as with a team of 41 pacemakers from all over the world as thousands of spectators cheered him on in the sidelines.
The challenge has been four months in the making with alot put in place to ensure his success, from the laser guide, weather conditions, diet and the pacemakers formation.
During the race Eliud’s time varied but he was mostly on target as projected in order to break the two hour barrier.
This is the first time any human being has ran a marathon in under two hours.
